Welcome to the Bays De Noc Area of Escanaba, Gladstone, Rapid River and Garden, Michigan!
Little Bay de Noc with it's thirty some thousand acres of water and Big Bay de Noc with it's ninty some thousand acres of water offer is a fishermans dream come true. Add to this an aggressive fish management program and you have some of the best fishing in the USA.
Although the bays are probably best known for their trophy walleyes in the fall they do provide excellent fishing for a number of different species throughout the year. Spring, summer, fall or winter are all fun and productive. Whatever you are fishing for, or whenever you are planning to fish come back and visit.
The Bays De Noc climate is much milder than the rest of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, which invites outdoor activities year round. Fishing, swimming, camping, hiking, tennis, volleyball or golf are popular recreational activities during summer.
Autumn brings hunting season and spectacular color. All along the roadways, the woods burst into a glorious display of red, gold, yellow and orange.
In winter, visitors and residents alike enjoy cross country skiing, ice skating, hockey, snowmobiling and ice fishing. In springtime, soon after the snow melts and creek and river waters begin to warm, the annual smelt dipping season begins. Springtime runoff brings excitement to canoeing and kayaking.
No matter what season, we invite you to come and enjoy
all the adventures that the Bays de Noc area has to offer!
